Hi there and welcome to the Mission: Mindfulness blog.
Some introductions: I’m Hayley.
Mum. Wife. Teacher. A busy person trying to embrace mindful living. Also someone who is qualified to help others to embrace mindfulness too.
The purpose of this blog and my business Mission: Mindfulness is to introduce as many people as possible to the concept of mindful living. In turn I hope to help boost the well-being of parents and their children. The blog and the courses I run raise awareness of the benefits of mindfulness and offer tips on how to fit mindful strategies and techniques into busy family life.
As well as being a busy mum of 3 (toddler twins and a primary school going child!) I am a secondary school teacher. I want to raise awareness about how mindfulness can help young people and older people too – anyone who is open to finding out more about it really. The frenetic pace of modern life is undoubtedly contributing to the spread of a mental illness epidemic across the western world and though mindfulness is no panacea, it is definitely an extremely effective tool to help people combat stress.
Mindfulness can help people be more resilient, creative and focused. It can also help us all be less stressed and anxious.
I started blogging and Mission: Mindfulness in 2016.
Just in case living and teaching in south-east London with toddler twins, their older brother, my hubby and two cheeky ginger Toms wasn’t enough :-).
