In keeping with the spirit of mindfulness, linking up with the lovely Catie’s (aka Spectrum Mum
) Point Shoot linky gives me an opportunity to practice adopting a ‘gratitude attitude’.
Remembering, through quick snaps taken on my phone, the things I may otherwise take for granted in my busy life. Or miss altogether, if I didn’t take a moment to stop.
It’s a chance to consider those family moments that could get lost in the fast pace of everyday life. The photos generally aren’t posed so don’t interrupt the ebb and flow of the day. Instead they are a record of those tender and special moments that regularly occur, between all the tears and tantrums, but can all too easily be missed.
Hopefully these posts may spur others on to keep a ‘gratitude log’ or something similar too.
It’s about seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary.
My last ‘Point Shoot’ post captured some of the special moments of my 40th Birthday celebrations. This one is just a little record of the summer to date – and what a summer it’s been! Looking back on the photos on my phone has reminded me just how many warm, sunny days we have already had!
This has meant LOTS of time visiting our local parks and also getting out into the surround countryside of Kent and Sussex. For this post I’m going to let the pictures do the talking!
Here are some pics capturing trips out further afield from home:

How have you been spending your time in the sunshine?
